Long Range Weather

The winter season from mid-January through late March will be generally unseasonably cold and snowy.  An amplified jetstream configuration will allow intrusions of very cold air to penetrate the Finger Lakes Region.  This and there is a very extensive snowpack over both Northern North America and Eurasia.  Meanwhile, the polar vortex will drop south from Hudson Bay into lower Canada during late January and early February.   All this means serious winter weather for the Finger Lakes.
